How much time will the photographer spend at my wedding?

I usually arrive at the location where the bride is getting ready, about 1 hour prior to the ceremony. I cover the ceremony, do formal photos after the ceremony and cover the first half hour of the reception.

Can you stay longer at the reception?

Do you offer Album's or Photo Books?

Yes I offer different styles of Album's and Photo Books. Contact me for prices.

How long should I plan for the post wedding pictures (formals)?

I want a combination of both colour and black & white for my wedding - is that possible?

Yes, as I shoot digitally, I select a variety of images and convert them into black and white.

Some photographers ask that no one else take pictures during the formal photography. Is that reasonable?

I don't find it a problem that there are other people taking photos. The only problem then is that those being photographed don't know which camera to look at. The option is yours.

How can I reserve my date?

Just contact me via phone or email. A non-refundable deposit is required (normally 30%) to secure the date.

When do I pay the final balance?

The photographs will be given to you on a CD. It can either be picked up or mailed out to you, normally within 1-4 months.

Are the images on the CD high resolution? Are they watermarked with your logo?

The images on the CD are at a high resolution, I do not reduce their size at all. Also, they are not watermarked with any logos or copyright information.

Do you travel out-of-state to do photography?

This is negotiable upon request; all travel expenses (e.g. airfare, accommodation) must be provided.

Is it important that the wedding photographer bring an assistant?

I would normally bring an assistant to weddings at no extra cost to you.

family portraits

For the average family (e.g. 2 parents, 2-3 children) depending on location, the shoot will normally go for around 1 hour (not including travel time).

I offer family portraits in an outdoor setting; the choice of location is yours. Anywhere further than 30 minutes from the city will be charged travel time.

What should I wear?

In group photos uniform colour (e.g. White, blue, black, denim) tend to look better so the colours don't distract from the people.

I am quite flexible on time, when you call or email to organise a time for the photo shoot, we can set a time. Quite often, early mornings or late afternoons provide lighting conditions that are better for outdoor photos.
